Free access to new ICDL emerging tech modules for schools

Young student is studying online at home.

We’re pleased to be able to offer schools with the ICT bundle free access to 4 brand new ICDL modules.

ICDL Insights

These short, introductory modules provide conceptual understanding of emerging technology to those who are not IT professionals.

The modules you now have access to are: Cloud Computing, Internet of Things, Artificial Intelligence and Big Data.

Although these modules have been designed with current and future business managers in mind, we are offering them free of charge to your students to give them a taste of these new and emerging technologies.

These modules are best suited to students in Transition Year and above, who will be able to gain valuable insight into the fast developing world of technology, and understand the wide range of specialisms available to them for future study or career paths.

Certification included

The syllabus content of each module is supported by high-quality eLearning materials that establishes core concepts, gives practical examples of implementation, and provides opportunities for reflection. The modules also include a short certification test. Successful candidates will have their results added to their ICDL profile certificates.

Next steps

Schools with an ICT bundle should already be able to assign these modules to students in your Administration portal.

Most of our schools have the ICT bundle, but if you are one of the schools without a bundle, get in touch with us here.

And don’t worry if you’re busy with preparations for the end of term, these modules will not expire and you’ll be able to make use of them in the new year.
